Regulation (EU) 2015/1933 amending Regulation (EU) 1881/2006 concerning maximum levels of PAHs was released in October 2015.
This new Regulation introduces maximum levels for following additional products:
- Cocoa fibers and products derived from cocoa fiber
- Banana Chips
- Food supplements containing botanical substances and their preparations, propolis, royal jelly, spirulina or their preparations
- Dried herbs
- Dried spices except cardamom and spice Capsicum spp. smoke
These new limits apply from 20 November 2015 for cocoa fiber and derivatives of cocoa fiber and from 1 April 2016 for all other matrices.
